History:
Coraline Xandrea Flyte was born on the clear, starless night of October 31st seventeen years ago. Her parents, Brianna and George, had never believed in any form of superstition and tried to raise Coraline to believe the same. However, Coraline developed her telekinetic ability at a rather young age and (after a lot of abnormal tantrums) all her parents dreams for her were crushed. Her parents didn't even take her for professional help, scared for their own reputation. So, fearful of what others might think, her parents moved to a country house and keep her from the public's eye, schooling her themseves and claiming her to be dead. At seven years, Coraline was already fed up with never being allowed outside or to go into town and ran off. All she left her parents was a note stating as much.
On her own and with little money, Coraline got practice in regards to controling her power by using it to steal her meals and other needs. She taught herself to shut out her true emotions and cloud them with bitter sarcasm. After all, it was survival of the fittest - there was little room for trust and truth. It was as her fourteenth birthday drew near and she was roaming a city's back streets late at night that she found a flyer trapped beneath an old soup can. The flyer read: St. Vector's Academy for Supernatural Beings. Intriged by the idea that she could go to a place and truely belong and inhance her power, she deticated her mind to the task of locating the school. It was easier then she thought and next thing she knew, she was in.
That wasn't the end of her struggle. She quickly learned of her attraction to both genders and in turn so did the rest of the school. She's already had experience in lying through her teeth to people of athority, so it was easy as breathing to slip past her teachers concerned eyes.

RP Sample:
Coraline sat in the last class of Friday completely bored out of her mind. She curled a lock of hair absently around her finger and stared out the window. It revealed a beautiful, frostbitten courtyard; dried up stone fountain; and cracked pavement. As her eyes slid in and out of focus, she could see faint reflections of what was happening in class. The teacher had excused themselves and the class had broken into tiny whispers. None of her friends were in this miserable class though, so she wasn't about to branch out.
It was after a few seconds she saw one of the people she hated most pointing at her and snickering. Her eyebrows rose slowly and she popped her bubblegum bubble, a sly grin spreading across her face. Using the faded reflection of the cool window pane, she focused on the large bottle of ink sitting in the open storage cabinet. Mentally, she envisioned herself spinning the lid until it came off, then placing it sliently beside it. Then she imagined herself picking it up; across the room, the bottle rose into the air, as if suspended by invisible strings. It floated across the small distance undetected and with a smirk hardly concealed, Coraline made it spill on top of his head.
A few girls screamed and the desks groaned as they were forced to move in the haste to back up. Coraline hewed her gum and made another bubble, pretending she hadn't noticed a thing. It probably would've worked out perfectly too, had the bell not rung and the teacher returned. "Miss Flyte- "
"Ya, I got it, detention." Coraline shrugged and pushed her chair out, propping her feet on the desk and doodling on a fresh page. "Just tell me when I can leave."
The loser she'd unleashed her power on shot her a nasty glare as they left, sending their voice into her mind. She ignored it, making a rude gesture in their direction when the teacher had their back turned.
