History:
Jaqulynetta Monica Raven was born on the 21st of July 1994. Her parents, Monica and David were both shifters, so it was only a matter of time before she gained the ability. Sure enough, at five years old she began to develop it. At one point she spent two months with fox ears sprouting from her head instead of her human ears. Lyn started school at age seven and quickly climbed to top of the class. But she also quickly fell victim to some of the schools older, more powerful students. It was this constant bullying that caused her to shield her emtions.
It also developed her need for control. When she was changing back and forth she felt like she had a strong control over the situation, and therefore she was happy. When she was being picked on and torments, she didn't have any control and fear took over. As a result, she had a few problems as she grew older and boys began to be seen as different and of interest. Relationships in school never lasted long when she was involved, because she feared being abused and felt complelled to be in control of every aspect of the relationship. Lyn quickly gave up on the whole thing and left school a year early to escape the country. She travelled around but her heart ached to return home to her father, who'd been lonely ever since her mother's passing.
On her way home, she litterally ran into Vance. Lyn tried to shut him out but he was persistant. To be honest, Lyn couldn't resist him either - plus his ability to live with the fact that she needed control helped a lot. The couple returned to town and on Lyn's 22th birthday he asked for her hand in marriage. Vance inherited the Bar&Grill as an engagment present. On December 19th they were wed. Lyn is now 26 years old.

RP Sample:
Lyn wiped off the last of the tables, picking up the chairs and resting on the table top. With a trip to the back she got the broom and began to sweep the floor clean. The bar was still kicked in full gear; she could hear the score of the game being screamed as one team scored. She smiled to herself, thinking of Vance and how he was probably laughing and shouting over the noise like everyone else.
She loved him dearly, she did, but she couldn't stand the noise of the bar on Game Day. Returning the broom to its home, she started to water the flowers only to glance out the giant bay windows and find a shadowy figure staring inside. Staring at her. Lyn panicked, but made it seem like she'd seen nothing. looking in the direction of the bar, she wondered feebly how long it would take to convince Vance to come check it out ... and if she left, would they?
The last thing she wanted was to give the control to the sketchy stranger, or even Vance for that matter. The difference was that she trusted Vance enough to give him some of her control - not all of it, god no - just some, like the control over deciding what to do about the figure...
"Vance? Could you come here?" Lyn called weakly, as though the person had control over her. This scared her further and without another thought she fled the resturant for the bar.
